My Process
-
The FIRST thing to do is, Contact Me to set up an initial meeting!!

-
I'll meet with you to discuss your project.
- It's best if we can meet in the space you'll want painted so I can see it in person and get a real feel for the scale, light, and color of the space! ;)
- If you already have ideas of what you want, great! If you have photos or magazine clippings of things you'd like to incorporate be sure to have them ready to show me!
- If you're not sure what you want, no problem! Getting to know you and seeing your space will give me plenty of ideas for a spectacular mural just for you!
- I'll need to take photos and measurements of your room before moving on to the next step.

-
I'll collect a small deposit to get started on the next step.
- This small non-refundable fee will be relative to the size and complexity of your project.
- This deposit will be added to the final project price
- In the event you do not proceed with the project you will forfeit this deposit, as payment for my time and creation of the digital art.

-
I Photoshop pictures of your mural!! This way you can really see how it'll look in your space!
- We'll work together to tweak the photoshopped idea(s) until we narrow down the perfect art for you!
- Once you approve the final art, and a price has been agreed on we can move to the next step...

-
We'll sign a contract and I'll require half payment upfront to cover supplies.
- This payment is for half the total project minus the deposit already paid for digital art
- We'll discuss any prep I'll need you to do before painting begins like moving furniture, or having equipment available to me
- We can then schedule a time to get started on your amazing one of a kind masterpiece!

-
I COME PAINT!!!
- You'll have opportunity along the way to check the work being done and let me know of any minor changes or corrections you'd like. (This can be done in person or texting / FaceTime. You don't neccessarily need to be there in person)
- Please note that any major changes to the art we previously agreed on may change the total price, and deposit may need to be adjusted before work can continue.
- Of course keep in mind that this is a hand-painted project and may have slight variations to the photoshopped version we agreed on.

-
Upon completion and inspection of final piece, the remainder of payment is due.
- It is my goal that you absolutely LOVE your unique piece of art and I hope you'll want to share pictures on your socials!!! (Be sure to link to me!!)

My Pricing
Since your mural will be a custom work of art and uniquely yours, the price for your project will also be uniquely yours and will depend on a number of factors listed below.

Please take into consideration the cost of your mural is not just for the act of painting.
It also covers my time to meet with you, time spent designing your project and tweaking the design, insurance fees, travel expenses, the cost of paints and basic supplies, etc.

In general, the average mural will cost around $15-$50 per square foot
with additional fees for specialty items and prep/post work as needed..

Major factors that will determine the base price of your mural are:
-
the size of the mural to be painted
-
the complexity of the piece / how detailed the art is
-
the location and working conditions of the area to be painted
-
the cost of paints & materials needed to make your project fabulous!
-
specialty paints such as glow paints or metallics will cost more.... but believe me they're worth it!! ;)
-

PREP AND POST WORK info and fees:

The cost for your mural does not include general repair and preparation of the space to be painted such as cleaning, masonry work, patching or priming of walls.
-
since the longevity of your mural greatly depends on the quality of the surface on which it is painted, I highly recommend that interior walls be clean and dry, with any holes or cracks patched, and free of dust before work is to begin.
-
exterior walls should be powerwashed a week before the project is started to ensure proper drying time
-
masonry primer / sealer is recommended for brick or concrete walls that have not been painted yet.
-
luckily I have extensive general home improvement experience and if my schedule allows I may be able to provide some of these prep services at additional cost.
-
of course I will need all furniture and obstacles out of my way prior to starting work on your mural.

After your mural is completed
-
the use of sealants and protectants for outdoor or high traffic areas will be discussed and those costs added into your quote (We want this project to last for years, dont we?!)

ADDITIONAL FEES will apply for:
-
specialty supplies and equipment needed to complete your project such as scaffolding, masking materials, sprayers, etc
- any major changes to the original design we've agreed upon
- cancellations or delays caused by the client, such as not having the area prepped and ready when painting is to begin

All these items and fees will be discussed with you before the start of any project!
